Charles Johnson and Engineer Howard Kuusisto <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, Schletty seconded, to approve the minutes of October 4, <br /> 1982, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> October 19, 1982, after the following change has been made: Delete the <br /> claim for Harley's Sod, in the amount of $41 .25, and to the Utility Claims <br /> (Water Dept.) . <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for Octo- <br /> ber 18, 1982, with the addition as noted. above. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Frank Lander - Discussion on Assessment <br /> Mr. Langer was present to discuss the new legislation for the assessing of agricul- <br /> tural land. Mr. Langer conducted a survey on farm rental costs to determine a <br /> method of valuing farmland (rent divided by .056 = assessed value) . This new law <br /> will affect the assessed value of the communities, which means that every mill <br /> will br ingin fewer dollars (1984) . Mayor LaValle.took this time to compliment <br /> Mr. Langer on his job performance, stating that he had received several comments <br /> from residents regarding Mr. Langer's pleasant manner. <br /> 5.2 David Schumann Site Plan Approval <br /> Mr. Schumann is proposing the construction of a 30 x 40 pole barn to be used as a <br /> garage and for personal storage. The land is zoned Agriculture, and the building <br /> will meet all setback requirements. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the Site Plan for <br /> David Schumann for the construction of a 30 x 40 pole barn to be used as <br /> a garage and for personal storage. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.3 Gerald Spiess - Special Use Permit <br /> Mr. Spiess is proposing the construction of a 24 x 30 garage in the SFE zone. The <br /> building exceeds the minimum square footage allowed by 80 feet, thereby, requiring <br /> a Special Use Permit. <br />
