Denaway made a motion, Granger seconded, to recommend to the City Council to continue <br />to make a donation of $500.00 to Hugo Kidz n' Biz Fest. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff updated the EDA on the progress of the downtown redevelopment in Hugo. <br />CD Director stated that the "End Zone" site developers have submitted a site plan <br />application. The project includes a 21,000 square foot retail building. The TIF application <br />will be submitted in March 2008. <br />Granger stated that since we are getting an application the EDA should talk about the <br />certification of the TIF district. <br />SITE VISIT TO INDUSTRIAL PAINTING SPECIALISTS <br />Industrial Painting Specialists was founded in 1992. They have a state-of-the-art 40,000 - <br />square -foot facility located at 5858 152nd Street in Hugo. They apply all wet -coatings <br />systems using airless and conventional spray equipment. Their lifting equipment includes <br />three, 10 -ton overhead bridge cranes. They have done painting for Caterpillar, 3M, Par <br />Nuclear, Boeing and even painted the 1996 Olympic Tower in their shop. <br />The EDA was given a tour of Industrial Painting hosted by Gary Papermaster, Vice President <br />of the company. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Denaway made motion, Klein seconded to adjourn the meeting at 11:00 am <br />All aye.
