MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF DECEMBER 10, 2013 <br />Weidt called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Bever, Denaway, Gallivan, Klein, and Weidt <br />ABSENT: Puleo <br />STAFF: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Eric Maass, Community Development Intern <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF OCTOBER 8, 2013 <br />Arcand made motion, Kelin seconded, to approve minutes for the EDA meeting of <br />October 8, 2013. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF NOVEMBER 12, 2013 <br />Klein made motion, Gallivan seconded, to approve minutes for the EDA meeting of <br />November 12, 2013. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />UPDATE ON MARKETING RFQ <br />Rachel provided the EDA with a review of the two complete RFQ applications submitted <br />to the City as requested. EDA agreed it was necessary to formally interview each <br />candidate at a future EDA meeting. This formal interview would take place to ensure <br />each candidate understands the expectations the EDA would have should one of the <br />candidates be selected to market the city owned property on behalf of the City of Hugo. <br />UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Rachel provided the EDA with an update on the current status of the Washington County <br />Economic Development Strategic Plan. EDA thanked Rachel for the update and <br />requested she continue to update the EDA as new information becomes available. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT <br />Staff informed EDA that they had received the downtown market study from Maxfield <br />Research Inc. While staff had not yet reviewed the document in its entirety, staff <br />informed the EDA that the findings stated in the executive summary were positive and <br />that a more extensive review would be provided at a later date. Staff suggested that <br />Maxfield Research Inc. be invited to a future EDA meeting to present their findings and <br />
