Residents were invited to attend the Parks Commission meeting of December 10, 2014. <br />Generally, residents preferred the location of features, public space alignment, parking <br />and traffic flow shown in concept three. Comments and questions also included <br />discussion on visibility of the skate park, keeping a court space, Good Neighbor Days, <br />and road re -construction plans. <br />On January 7, 2015, the Hugo Lions Club was presented the three concepts for their <br />review. The Lions Club analyzed the plans for how the park would function for Good <br />Neighbor Days. Discussion included the size of the open space, location of trees (to be <br />determined in future plans), parking, and traffic. <br />4. CONCEPT REVIEW: <br />Consideration and discussion may include: <br />• Traffic flow and access <br />• Pedestrian connections and circulation <br />® Parking layout and amount <br />• Locations of active vs. passive activities <br />• Orientation and correlation of park amenities <br />4. NEXT STEPS: <br />Staff recommends the Economic Development Authority discuss the three Lions Park <br />concept plans and provide comments for a Preliminary Master Plan. After a plan <br />finalized, work will include fundraising, planning of construction phases, and designing <br />the main park shelter. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
