DRAFT OF STATEMENT BY JOHN SCHWIETERS 1 HUGO RR FUNDING <br />Sept. 20, 2015 <br />Access to rail and the availability of outdoor storage are the reasons we originally <br />chose to move our operations to our Hugo location. Because the cost of shipping by <br />rail is significantly lower than by truck, being able to receive mill shipments of raw <br />materials and building products at our headquarters and track -side manufacturing <br />facilities in Bald Eagle Industrial Park has given us a significant advantage in the <br />markets in which we compete. <br />A temporary repair has now been made to the line, but if the permanent repairs <br />needed to assure its long term safety and viability are not made, our ability to <br />operate profitably and the value of our properties would both be severely affected. <br />Although moving our operations would be difficult and a major disruption to our <br />businesses, we would have no choice but to look for an alternative location that can <br />assure permanent access to reliable rail transportation. <br />John Schwieters, President <br />J.
