Recreation Programs Skyhawks Sports Academy Programs Skyhawks' Flag Football The City of Hugo has parternered with Skyhawks to offer new youth sports pro- grams. Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that em- phasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsman- ship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill - building games and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and over- view of the sport. Since 1979 Skyhawks has taught over one and a half million boys and girls life lessons through sports. Please view our website at www.skyhawks.com for further details. Skyhawks' Mini -Hawk Ages 4-7 Monday, Aug. 13— Thursday, Aug. 16 9:OOam— noon Hanifl Fields Athletic Park This multi -sport program was developed by Skyhawks to give children ages 4 to 7 a positive first step into athletics. The essen- tials of t -ball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Our Mini -Hawk games and activi- ties were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye co- ordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks staff are trained to handle the specific needs of young athletes. Please bring two snacks, sunscreen, appro- priate clothing and water 40L bottle. All participants receive a t -shirt and merit award. The cost is $79. Ages 7-12 Monday, Aug. 13— Thurs- day, Aug. 16 1:OOpm— 4:OOpm Hanifl Fields Athletic Park Skyhawks Flag Football is the perfect introduction to "America's Game" or a great refresher for those who want to brush up on their skills preparing for league play. Through our "skill of the day" exer- cises, campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core compo- nents of passing, catching, and de -flagging or defensive positioning — all presented in a fun and positive environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Sports Bowl, giv- ing participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron! Please bring two snacks, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and water bottle. All participants receive a t -shirt and merit award. The cost is $79. Registration available at Hugo City Hall or on www.skywhawks.com 3rd Lair Skateboard Camp Monday, July 11—Wednesday, July 13 9:OOam- noon Lions Park Experienced instructors from 3rd Lair will perform and teach the basic fundamentals, safety, and skatepark etiquette. Core train- ing is mixed with fun and games for all ages and skill levels. In case of rain, indoor activities will be provided. The cost to enroll is $44. CV :L1 r2l R SKATEBOARD CAMP Dogs may be off leash in the passive parks in Hugo. These include Clearwater Creek Preserve Park, Rice Lake Park and Irish Avenue Park.
