The Joint Powers agreement with White Bear Lake School District, for the play structure at Hugo <br />Elementary School, will be signed soon. One more signature is needed. <br />Il. The brochure has been approved and presented to the Bernin's and the Hauble's. The brochure can <br />also be shared with the LaCasse family, owners of the property north of the old school house. Pete <br />has talked with Mr. Haubel about his property north of Beaver Ponds Park. They discussed park <br />plans for the future but Mr. Haubel does not know what his family is planning. <br />Action: Laurie to prepare concept plan for park expansion to determine how many acres would be <br />needed for the desired development. <br />III. The council has approved the abandonment of Elmcrest Avenue contingent on the need for future <br />trail links. <br />Action: Pete is checking on the status of Lino Lakes plans for the area to determine if and were a <br />trail could be located. <br />IV. Planning for future land purchases was discussed. The land west of Oneka Lake, owned by Arcand <br />could be land we should look at purchasing. No action on this land will be taken at this time. <br />V. Land owned by Mary Mehlinger, located west of 61 and south of 4A maybe land we would like to <br />purchase. <br />Action: Laurie will collect the available base map information for this property. <br />VI. The commission reviewed the concept plans for the Water Tower Site. Concept E was selected. <br />This concept put the parking lot on the north side of the site. This would allow for the development <br />of more picnic area on the south side of the site. This plan would require that access to the pump <br />house and water tower is from the north. Dirt is required for the site to fill the southwest corner; a <br />local developer may have dirt available.
