Welcome New Member Jennifer May <br />A. Everybody introduced himself or herself to Jennifer and welcomed her to the commission. She is a <br />new resident to Hugo and very excited about getting involved. <br />II. City Hall Tour <br />A. It was the first meeting for the Commission in the new city hall. <br />B. Mike Ericson gave us all a great tour and as a result the Commission decided to continue to have the <br />meetings in the Oneka Room. <br />III. Beaver Ponds Park <br />A. Tom Weidt has looked at the fields and they look good. No erosion has occurred and they were not <br />disturbed this winter. They will need to be top -dressed and this is on Chris Petree's schedule. <br />B. The wood fiber is still in good shape and no wood chips need to be put down at this time. <br />C. The play equipment is in good shape but Tom will check this more carefully. <br />D. The trash containers are in storage and are ready to be placed in the park. <br />E. A landscape plan for the whole park will be prepared. The landscape plan will incorporate the future <br />park planning for Beaver Ponds Park that expanded the park onto the Haubel property. This landscape <br />will be installed in phases and one of the first phases is to define the boundary between the existing park <br />and the Haubel property. <br />IV. Comprehensive Plan Update <br />A. Robyn will work with John Rask and is hoping to bring a draft for review to the meeting next month. <br />V. Water Tower Park <br />A. The park on Fenway Boulevard is almost complete. Status of the development and the park needs to be <br />verified. <br />B. Picnic tables, like the one in Beaver Ponds without the extension for accessibility, need to be ordered. <br />C. The trail on 132nd Street has not been built.
