Changes have been made to the preliminary plat will go before the City Council on December 16.
B. The size of the school site has increased to 22.3 acres. 19 acres are upland.
C. The greenway corridor on the east side is a minimum of 100 ft wide.
D. Mr. Gary Trudeau for Creekview Preserve, the adjacent neighborhood to the east, expressed concern
about the trail proposed for the greenway corridor. He preferred a sidewalk/trail adjacent to the local
street and removed from the corridor.
E. Mr. Trudeau spoke in favor of a neighborhood park near the water tower. He said access should be
safe and should be available from 59th street. The park should also be accessible from the local road
proposed on the west side of the park area. The City does not own additional land around the water
tower and will need to take parkland as part of park dedication when the land is platted.
F. Mr. Pratt has agreed to donate parkland in this area prior to the development of the property. An
agreement needs to be reached between the City and Mr. Pratt but the intent will be to provide parkland
at the time the Pulte development is constructed.
G. After much discussion about the location of the trail and the greenway corridor the Park Commission
unanimously recommended that the trail be constructed in the greenway.
H. The Park Commission also recommended that the open space that is proposed near the townhouses in
the southwest side of the project remain open space but not public land. The City will not take this
property as park dedication.
II. Oak Shore Park
A.
