N. on the north <br />side of Oneka Lake Blvd. Sr. Eng. Tech. Anderson presented the Parks Commission with a <br />preliminary design of the trail and an initial cost estimate for the work. He also stated that the <br />City would build the trail within the road right-of-way and use any current trail easements <br />available. The Parks Commission then allowed the residents in attendance to comment on the <br />options presented. The comments were as follows: incorporate buffer along trail to eliminate <br />cut through traffic to Oneka Lake View development (possible pine trees and/or boulders) cul- <br />de-sac, majority in attendance would like a trail, definite safety benefits. Mayor Miron spoke to <br />residents from Oneka Lake View and stated that the City would be willing to incorporate a <br />buffer into the trail design. <br />Cheesebrow made a motion, Weidt seconded, to request that staff place this on a future Council <br />Agenda to approve construction of a 9' bituminous trail from Sweet Grass Meadows west to <br />Geneva Av. N. located on the north side of Oneka Lake Blvd. And direct staff to incorporate a <br />buffer between the trail and the cul-de-sac in Oneka Lake View. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />11. Review and Update Parks Commission phone and email lists <br />PW Director Chris Petree reviewed and updated the above information with Parks Commission <br />members. <br />111.
