The building project is scheduled for completion in <br />late fall 2004. <br />4. Gravel Pit — County Road 8 & Irish Av. N. <br />Park Commissioner Pedersen provided a brief overview of the site and asked that Park <br />Commissioners consider the site for a future athletic complex. <br />5. Oneka Lake Park <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided a status update on Oneka Lake Park. Petree also <br />notified the Park Commission that the park is on schedule and should be usable within the next <br />month. It was noted that caution tape has been placed around the play structure to keep children <br />off the equipment until final safety measures are in place. <br />6. Waters Edge Development and School Site <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an overview of the development. Petree informed <br />the Park Commissioners of the school location and location of City roads/trails throughout the <br />development. <br />7. Heritage Ponds (Powers Property) — Inspect Barn <br />Park Commissioners visited the site and inspected the barn that Pratt Investments proposes to <br />dedicate to the City with park land. The consensus among the Park Commissioners was not to <br />accept the barn due to its condition, authenticity/historical value and the liability to the City to <br />own such a structure. <br />8. Tower #3 Site & Outlot in Creekview Preserve <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an overview of the two sites. Park Commission <br />members asked that staff focus on the feasibility of improving the Outlot in Creekview Preserve <br />and work with the developer to acquire the property. <br />9. Old School House <br />This site was not toured due to time constraints. All members present indicated that they were <br />familiar with the site. Potential uses of the site will be discussed again at a future meeting. <br />10. Fable Hill & 100 acre "Clearwater" Park <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an overview of the two sites. Park Commissioner <br />Clarke will continue to work towards the development of nature/low impact trails within <br />"Clearwater" Park.
