Discuss Hugo Centennial Committee <br />Parks Commission Chair Kitty Cheesebrow informed Parks Commissioners that next year is <br />Hugo's 100 year anniversary and the City Council would like at least one volunteer to serve on <br />a Centennial Committee. Parks Commissioner Charles Kirk volunteered to serve on the <br />Centennial Committee on behalf of the Parks Commission. <br />V. Beaver Ponds Park Update <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an update on the landscaping project being done <br />by Boy Scout Eric Korlin for his Eagle Scout Badge. The plantings will take place on Saturday, <br />May 14, 2005. Also, City staff has received quotes for replacing the timber edging around the <br />play structure with concrete edging. This item is on the City Council agenda on Monday, May <br />16, 2005 for approval. <br />VI. Frog Hollow Park Update <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an update on the Frog Hollow Park Project. City <br />staff received quotes for the miscellaneous concrete work at the park. This item is on the City <br />Council agenda on Monday, May 16, 2005 for approval. The concrete work is scheduled to be <br />completed by early June followed by the installation of the play structures in late June. <br />Landscaping, trail connections and benches/trash receptacles will be installed in July. <br />VII. Parks Commission Tour set for July 13, 2005 <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree reminded Parks Commissioners that the Annual Parks <br />Commission Tour is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Parks Commissioners are <br />asked to meet at City Hall at 5 p.m. Public Works Director Chris Petree will also invite the City <br />Council to attend the tour. <br />VIII. Updates <br />A. Other : Vice Parks Commission Chair Pete Pedersen provided an update on Good Neighbor <br />Days for 2005, suggested that the Parks Commission explore other grant opportunities in the <br />private sector and that signs need to be installed at the 105 acre park next to Fable Hill to not allow <br />usage by ATV's. City staff will install "No Motorized Vehicle" signs at this location. <br />LOCATION — CITY HALL <br />
