Minutes <br />City of Hugo <br />Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />April 11, 2007 <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Council Chambers — City Hall <br />Meeting Chair: Roger Clarke <br />Minutes By: Chris Petree <br />Present: Parks Commission: Roger Clarke, Pete Pedersen, Tony Groff, Melissa Parker and Russ <br />Schmidt. <br />Staff Chris Petree, Public Works Director. <br />Consultant: Laurie McRostie, Landscape Architect. <br />Absent: Rachel Berger and Dan Gabrielli. <br />Approve Minutes From March 14, 2007 Meeting <br />Parker made a motion, Schmidt seconded, to approve the minutes from the March 14, 2007 <br />Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Introduce New Parks Commissioner Tony Groff <br />Parks Commission Chair Roger Clarke introduced new Parks Commissioner Tony Groff. The <br />City Council appointed Tony Groff to the Parks Commission at their March 19, 2007 meeting. <br />Tony Groff was in attendance at the meeting and had a chance to introduce himself to the other <br />Parks Commissioners. <br />III. Oakshore Park Project <br />• Project Timeline: Public Works Director Chris Petree discussed the project timeline and <br />notified the Parks Commissioners that due to the impending street and utility project in <br />the Oakshore Park neighborhood, the project schedule would need to be adjusted and <br />that City staff would determine the correct timeline once the street and utility project gets <br />underway in the coming months. <br />• Park Plans (Laurie McRostie): Landscape Architect Laurie McRostie was in <br />attendance to provide an overview of the revised park plans. Laurie made changes to <br />the park plan based on comments from the Parks Commission at last months meeting. <br />The Parks Commission agreed that the revised design was acceptable and that planning <br />for the park should move forward based on the park plans that Laurie presented. <br />IV. Washington County Land and Water Legacy Program <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree presented the Parks Commission with a letter from <br />Page 1 <br />
