Minutes <br />City of Hugo <br />Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />August 8, 2007 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Meeting Chair:Roger Clarke <br />Minutes By: Eileen Ottney <br />Present: Parks Commission: Roger Clarke, Pete Pedersen, Melissa Parker, Russ Schmidt, Rachel <br />Berger <br />City Staff: Chris Petree — Public Works Director, Bryan Bear — Community Development <br />Director, Eileen Ottney — Parks Commission Secretary <br />City Planner: Kendra Lindahl <br />Absent: Dan Gabrielli <br />Approve Minutes From July 11, 2007 Meeting <br />Parker made motion, Pedersen seconded, to approve the minutes from the July 11, 2007 <br />Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />II. Parks Commission Vacancy <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree informed the Parks Commission that there are 5 <br />candidates for the vacant position on the Parks Commission. He stated that the City Council <br />would like to add three of the candidates to the Parks Commission. This would require an <br />amendment to the ordinance, allowing for up to 9 members to serve on the Parks <br />Commission. <br />Pedersen made a motion, Schmidt seconded, recommending that the City Council amend the <br />existing ordinance to allow up to 9 members, and no fewer than 7, to serve on the Parks <br />Commission at any one time. <br />All Aye.
