The Parks Commission should consider <br />adding additional equipment for future programs. <br />IV. Tornado Clean-up & Park Project Updates <br />Tornado Clean-up: <br />• Frog Hollow Park <br />All grass area was mowed and vacuumed several times to pick up debris. Trails <br />were swept and 6" of the play surface was replaced. One tree was damaged in the <br />play area. The inactive park area had a loss of several trees. Further evaluation by <br />the City Forester will be done in the wetlands to determine what will be done with <br />these trees. <br />Victor Square & Val Jean <br />The insurance adjuster and contractor will evaluate the shelter for hail damage. No <br />hazards were found only general repairs. <br />Heritage Ponds, Oneka Lake & Diamond Point <br />Shelter roofing will be replaced. No damage was done to any play equipment. <br />• Lions Park <br />Lions Building and Hugo Teen Center will receive new roofing, siding, sofit, facia and <br />trim. No other damage found. <br />Parks Project Updates: <br />• Arbre park <br />All concrete work was completed. 360 yards of fiber was put in and the restoration <br />will be completed soon. <br />• Oak Shore Park <br />Tree clearing is completed and the Concrete work is finished. The shelter and <br />benches will be installed starting next week. Irrigation and bituminous trails will start <br />in August, followed by landscaping and turf establishment in late August. Residents <br />requested the bell play equipment to be removed because of noise issues. The <br />vendor will swap this for another piece of equipment. <br />• Rice Lake Park <br />Curbing is finished and grade is at 95% complete. Next week gravel and lighting will <br />be started. Discussion will need to be set at a later date on organizing a group or <br />individual to handle rental and/or scheduling of the park. Associations have shown <br />great interest and excitement on the future of the park. <br />
