IV. Discussion about Hunting on Park Property <br />Scott Anderson Public Works Director provided a copy of the current City Ordinance, <br />Shooting regulations 50-1. <br />Commission members had a very productive discussion with a wide range of <br />opinions on the subject. Commissioner Berger was unable to attend the meeting, <br />but provided an email expressing her opinions on the subject. Members of the <br />commission were in disagreement as to whether archery hunting should be allowed <br />on city park property. The Commission was in agreement that the ordinance <br />appeared to be outdated and in need of revision. <br />Taylor made a motion, Clark seconded to recommend the City Council form a <br />Subcommittee including members of the Planning Commission, Parks Commission <br />and City Council to review the current ordinance and recommend any changes <br />needed. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />V. Update on Oakshore Park Grand Opening <br />Taylor made a motion, Gabrielle seconded to start advertising the Oakshore Park <br />Grand Opening event to be held February 7, 2009 at 2-4:00 PM. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />VI. Other <br />Clark updated the commission on Washington County Land and Water Legacy being <br />suspended by Washington County Board of Commissioners. <br />Adjournment <br />Taylor made a motion, Schmidt seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br />All Aye.
