Lion's Park Tennis Court (Pete Pedersen & Katie Riopel)
Pete Pederson and Katie Riopel gave a presentation on the Lion's Park Tennis
Courts. Recent donations have been established from the Lions for replacing the
broken basket ball hoop. Katie Riopel explained with her years of service helping the
community youth that the need to replace or repair the existing tennis courts and
improve the basketball area is a priority that needs to be considered. An estimate was given on full replacement and/or repairing
from a contractor to get an idea of costs involved.
Parks and Recreation Commission members had an open discussion on the
necessity to encourage more activities in the community for the teen age group along
with the needs to update this park.
