V. Park Rules <br />Shayla Syverson, Economic Development/Parks Intern provided a memorandum of <br />the most common City Park Rules and Existing City Codes. Discussions were in <br />reference to necessity and priority on the needs for updating signage and <br />ordinances pertaining to the parks. Staff will prepare a draft rules ordinance, look <br />into options for park signs and create a list rules to be posted in parks. <br />VI. Update on Parks and Recreation Sub -Committee (Shavla) <br />Shayla Syverson, Economic Development/Parks Intern updated that the priority list <br />determined by the Sub -committee was approved by the City Council and the next <br />meeting will be August 19th, 2009. Strub requested copies of minutes from each <br />meeting to be provided to the Parks Committee members. Syverson will provide <br />these at the next meeting. <br />VII. Annual Parks Tour <br />Roger Clark asked if the Parks Annual Bus Tour could be combined with the City <br />Council and Commissions Annual City Wide Tour and all agreed. The City Council <br />will be setting the date for the City Bust Tour at its meeting Monday. <br />VIII. Other <br />Taylor updated on the Rice Lake Park Complex construction. Roofing materials has <br />been determined and concrete flooring will be used to help with cost reduction. Leed <br />Certification is no longer being considered for the project with the inflated costs that <br />are involved for this project. <br />Adjournment <br />Russell Schmidt made a motion, Berger seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:12 p.m. <br />All Aye.
