A preliminary master plan will be drafted using the input <br />III. Victor Sauare Park Reauest <br />Karen Ray, a resident representing Victor Gardens Master Home Owners Association <br />requested restricting public skating on the landscape pond in Victor Square Park. The low <br />leveled pond has fountain equipment, extensive landscaping and side banks made of rocks <br />Their concerns include: expensive repairs, landscaping damages, and injury/liabilities. <br />Berger made a motion, Schmid seconded to support Victor Gardens Home Owner Association <br />to prohibit skating at the Victor Garden park pond with signage or creating an ordinance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried <br />City Staff was directed to have this put on the City Council Agenda for Monday December 5, <br />2014 meeting. <br />IV. 2015 Goals <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner provided a draft of the 2015 Goals discussed at the November <br />12, 2014 meeting for review. <br />Tennyson made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to approve the 2015 Park, Recreation and <br />Open Space Commission Goals. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />V. Winter Programs <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner gave an update on Snow Jam. Last year, the event had a loss <br />of $1,817. The event has low participation and finding enough volunteers to run the event has <br />been difficult. <br />Park Commission members had an open discussion agreeing on not having the Snow Jam in <br />2015 and directing staff to evaluate other program options to replace or change the theme or <br />season. <br />Future programs include: <br />Movie Nights: January 6, February 20 and March 27 <br />Sledding Party: February 7 <br />Kidz N Biz: April 25 <br />VI. Other <br />Park Commission members discussed upcoming meeting dates. The January meeting is <br />changed to Thursday, January 15, 2015. <br />
