MINUTES <br />HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS <br />March 13, 2003 <br />Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Puleo, Schumann <br />ABSENT: Brunotte <br />ALSO PRESENT: John Rask, Community Development Director <br />Michele Lindau, Secretary <br />Minutes January 23, 2003 <br />Schumann made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the minutes for January 23, 2003. <br />Ayes: Schumann <br />Abstain: Puleo <br />Motion carried. <br />Stockness Variance for Property Line Adiustment <br />The Board considered the request of Tim Stockness, 9757 122nd Street North, for variances to permit <br />adjustment of the common lot line between the Stockness property and property located at 9627 <br />122nd Street North owned by the Wlaschin family estate. To permit the requested property line <br />adjustment, a variance from the 10 -acre minimum lot size requirement was needed for the parcel at <br />9627122 d Street N. and a variance from the 300 feet minimum lot width requirement was needed <br />for the parcel located at 9757 122nd Street N. <br />The parcel at 9575 122nd Street N. was 7.63 acres with a lot width of 220 feet and the parcel at 9627 <br />122nd Street N. was 9.07 acres with a lot width of 330.2 feet. After the property line adjustment, the <br />parcel at 9627 122nd Street would be reduced to 2.8 acres and the parcel at 9757 122nd Street N. <br />would be increased to 13.9 acres, bringing it into compliance with the minimum lot size requirement. <br />The lot width of both parcels would remain the same. <br />The applicant wanted to acquire the rear portion of the adjacent lot, which is immediately west of his <br />existing home, to ensure he maintains the privacy of his home in the future. <br />Schumann asked if there were horses on the property and Mr. Stockness replied that there were <br />horses several years ago. <br />Puleo asked why not create a 5 -acre parcel instead of a 2.8 -acre parcel since 5 acres would permit <br />
