MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF AU6UST_19s_1996 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fran Miron at 7:15 PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Goiffon, LerOUX, Miron <br />City Administrator, Robert MUseUS <br />City Attorney, Greg Galler <br />City Engineer, Tom Angus <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Tim Aaness <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />Ingersoll Avenue/175th Street Report (Engineer) <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt the following Consent <br />Agenda: <br />City Council minutes of August 5. 1996 <br />Claims for August 19. 1996 <br />SUP Vacation (Nadeau's) <br />Fireman's Relief Benefits <br />Letter of Credit Reduction (RCM2) <br />Letter of Credit Reduction (RCM._y) <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY HALL CLEANING CONTRACT <br />City staff recommended that the City enter into a contract with Coverall <br />the Twin Cities. Inc., for City Hall janitorial services, at an estimated <br />annual cost of $2,397. This results in a cost saving of $2,278 over the <br />City's agreement with another party. The contract will become effective <br />September 1, 1996. Mayor Miron requested that the contract be amended to <br />state that the service include Good Neighbor Days. <br />Miron made motion. Barnes seconded, to enter into a contract with Coverall <br />the Twin Cities, Inc., for City Hall janitorial services, including Good <br />Neighbor Days cleanup, at an estimated annual cost of $2,397.00. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />125TH STREET (SUNSET LAKE SIGNS) <br />At Council direction, the City Engineer reviewed the adequacy of the <br />street signs along the south side of Sunset Lake. He recommended posting <br />two additional NO PARKING signs on 125th Street, between C.R. 7 and <br />Homestead Drive, and changing the existing signs from printed NO PARKING <br />to international -type symbol signs. He also recommended the posting of NO <br />FISHING signs from the roadway along the stretch of road due to the <br />severely restricted shoulder area adjacent to the lake. Estimated cost <br />for this project would be $550.00. The City Attorney submitted an <br />ordinance that would control fishing and boat launching from City streets. <br />
