MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 8, 2008 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann, and Weidt <br />ABSENT: Kleissler <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Kendra Lindahl, City Planner <br />Rachel Simone, Associate Planner <br />Approval of Minutes of April 24, 2008 <br />Weidt made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />April 24, 2008 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />PUD General Plan for Lake Area Bank <br />McRoberts made a motion, seconded by Moore to take Lake Area Bank off the Table. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Planner Kendra Lindahl explained the plan for the 4,900 sq. ft. bank with drive through. It was <br />located on a platted lot in Victor Gardens 4th subdivision in 2004. PUD standards are consistent <br />for this development. She noted that although the architecture does not follow the Victor <br />Gardens French Village theme, the materials and building is a quality design. <br />Kendra explained that the applicant has made changes to the site plan as requested at the <br />previous planning commission meeting; however, there were no changes to the architecture. The <br />site plan revisions included an attached trash enclosure, added parking stall that eliminated the <br />need for a variance, windows on the west side of the building, moved building signage, and <br />additional landscaping that would also screen the mechanical equipment. <br />Kendra explained several options to the Planning Commission and advised them that if they did <br />not see the need to change the architecture then they should delete item 4C from the resolution. <br />Scott Weistling, a member of the design team, commented on the staff report.
