MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />AUGUST 23, 2000 <br />Puleo called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Kleissler, Peltier, Schumann, Puleo, Alternates Rooney & Buller <br />Community Development Director, John Rask <br />Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau <br />ABSENT: Malaski, McRoberts <br />Minutes of July 26, 2000 <br />Schumann made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes for July 26, 2000, as <br />submitted. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />Preliminary Plat & Site Plan (Schwieter's) <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the request of Schwieter's Construction for <br />preliminary plat and site plan approval for two 45,000 square foot buildings on Outlot A, Bald Eagle Industrial <br />Park, which is located directly south of their existing building located at 13922 Fenway Blvd. N. The City of <br />lugo has obtained the necessary permits to fill approximately 3.5 acres of wetlands on the property. <br />Tom Junnila, real estate broker and representative for Schwieter's Construction, and Len Lampert, architect for <br />the project, were present to answer questions from the Planning Commission. <br />Puleo opened the public hearing but there were no comments. <br />The Community Development Director, the Planning Commission, Junnila, and Lampert discussed the <br />conditions of approval as stated in the staff report <br />Rooney made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend the City Council adopt a resolution for preliminary <br />plat and site plan for Schwieter's Construction with the conditions drafted by the Community Development <br />Director, adding a condition pertaining to shoe -box lighting. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />Conditional Use Permit (Kieger Enterprises) <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval of a Conditional Use Permit for Kieger Enterprises, 5885 <br />165`h St. N. on June 28, 2000. At the City Council meeting of July 3, 2000, the Council tabled action and <br />requested the Planning Commission reconsider the application, as they felt there were issues that were not <br />addressed. The Planning Commission reviewed the staff report prepared by the Community Development <br />_)irector, which included the additional conditions requested by the City Council. <br />
