MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 7, 1994 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Walter Stoltzman at 7:00 . PRESENT: Barnes, Miron, Stoltzman City Administrator, Robert Museus City Attorney, Greg Galler City Engineer, Joel Dresel City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager ABSENT: Bernard Brunotte, Leroux: Councilman Leroux: arrived at 7:10 PH. Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of October 17, 1994, as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. Miron made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve the claims for November 7l 1994, .in the amount of $25,561.69. All. aye. Motion Carried. EUNL.1C:: HEARING_P"IGlUOR ORDINANCE) (Councilman Leroux; arrived at 7:10 PH.) A public hearing was scheduled for 7:05 PH to consider adoption of a proposed ordinance amending the licensing and regulation of the sale and consumption of liquor in the City of Hugo. As required by law, individual notice of the hearing was sent to all current liquor license holders in the City. Catherine Anderson, owner of Carpenter's, and representing the liquor license holders in Hugo, addressed the Council stating their reasons for opposing any increase in fees, and requested that the fee be reduced rather than increased. Because of the absence of a Council member-, Attorney Galler stated that a 4/5's vote is required to adopt an ordinance. Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to table this matter until the meeting of November 21, 1994 in anticipation of full Council representation. All aye. Motion Carried. MINOR SUBDIVISION (BERNTSON) Burdett.e Berntson, 12686 Ethan Avenue North, applied to subdivide 27.8 acres of agricultural zoned property at the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of T31N, R21W, into one lot of 17.29 acres and one lot of 10.53 acres. The Hugo Planning Commission considered this request on October 26, 1994, and recommended approval of the request subject to the applicant providing evidence of an approved site for the construction of a septic system for the lot being created on Fiona Avenue. Stoltzman made motion, Miron seconded, to table this request until the applicant provides the City with proof of adequate septic system for the proposed lot. All aye. Motion Carried.
