The meetinq was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Bob Museus . <br />City Attorney, Grey Galler <br />City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creaqer <br />ABSENT: Leroux <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for the City <br />Council meeting of June 21, 1993, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />St. John the Baptist Church has applied for a daily on sale 3.2 beer- <br />license <br />eerlicense for the sale of beer at their annual Fall Festival to be held on <br />August 22, 1993. Due to expected sales of less than $500.00, city <br />ordinance does not require St. John's to provide proof of liability <br />insurance. Staff recommends approval of the license. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to issue an on -sale 3.2 beer license <br />to the Church of St. John the Baptist for the sale of beer at their Fall <br />Festival to be held on August 22, 1993. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The Hugo Lions Club has applied for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Permit to <br />conduct charitable gambling at RJ's located at 13891 Forest Blvd., in <br />Hugo. The Lions have held charitable gambling licenses with the City at <br />other locations for a number of years' Staff recommends approval of the <br />license' <br />Brunotte made motion, ri-on seconded, to aporove the Charitable Gambling <br />License for the Hugo Lions Club to conduct gambling at RJ's, 13891 Forest <br />Blvd., and waiver of an" waiting period' <br />All aye. Motion Carried' <br />Bids for the City's 1993 G.O. Water Revenue Bond were received by the <br />City'= financial consultant, Ehlers and Associates, the morning of July 6, <br />1993. The bids were tabulated by Ehlers, and Carolyn Drude reported the <br />results to the Council. The low bidder was Piper, Jaffray, Inc.. at an <br />interest rate of 4'7771%' Bond proceeds are being used to finance the <br />construction of the City's new water tower, well, and certain watermain <br />improvements. <br />
