MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING . OF OCTOBER 18, 1.99 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, LeroUX, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Attorney's Office, Kevin Shoeberg <br />City Administrator, Robert MUseus <br />City Clerk., Mary Ann Creager <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for the <br />Council workshop of Septembers, 1993, as submitted. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Mir -on <br />ABSTAINED: Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the minutes for the regular <br />City Council meeting of October 4, 1993, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Leroux made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the claims for October <br />18, 1993, in the amount of $470,773.56. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MINOR SUBDIVISION ( h::ARNSTEDT ) <br />Mr. M::eith Peterson, :861 Olympic Trail, Lindstrom, MN, requested a minor <br />subdivision for his property located at 6788 132nd Street North, on behalf <br />of Linda and David Karnstedt, purchasers of the property. The property is <br />zoned agriculture, and the request is to subdivide a 20 -acre parcel into <br />two 10 -acre parcels. The property in question was part of a minor <br />subdivision in 1992, where Mr. Peterson subdi.vi.ded 40 acres into two <br />10 -acre parcels, and one 20 acre. In addition, a building permit was <br />issued, and a 5,184 pole building was constructed on the 0 -acre parcel, <br />based on State law. The building on the 10 -acre parcel will be larger <br />than 3,600 square foot accessory building generally allowed on a 10 -acre <br />parcel. The Planning Commission considered Peterson's request on October <br />13, 1993, and recommended approval of the subdivision with a Special Use <br />Permit for the existing pole building. <br />LeroU:: made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the subdivision of iii <br />acres .into two 10 -acre parcels, allowing the oversized ar._cessor,,: building <br />on Parcel C-2. Approval is subject to the following: In the event of the <br />sale of the property, the property must be sold as a 20 -acre parcel. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST (GONDEK) <br />James and Diane Gondek, 12180 Fiona Avenue, requested a variance to <br />construct a 36' x 56' garage 18' forward of the front line of the <br />residence. Because the resulting building will be more than 100' from the <br />public road, the variance request was brought directly to the Council. <br />
