I"_INUTES OF T= PROCE jINGS <br />OF THTC HUGO PLANNING COI`IT,'IISSION <br />AUGUST 11, 1976 <br />7'ublic Hearing - LaCasse <br />The public hearin for the purpose of considering the application <br />of Tom and Arthur haCasse for rezoning of a 37 acre --parcel from Con- <br />servancv to Agricultural, was opened at 7:37 P.M. by Chairman Spitzer. <br />Present were Spitzer, Rosenquist, Peloquin and Peltier. Also <br />attending was Bill Schwab, „ashington County Planner. The official <br />notice of the public heari�z was read by Chairman Spitzer. <br />h1r. Thomas LaCasse explained he has built a new home for hipself <br />on the 37 acre parcel, now wishes to have the entire 37 acres rezoned <br />from Conservancy to 2'.-ricultural, so that his home would occupy a fifteen_ <br />acre parcel, anti his father would still have two building sites left. <br />He explained that the land to the north and to the east of the property <br />is zoned agricultural. Peloquin stated that tile land in question is high <br />and dry. <br />Greg Cardinal, 5756* N. 1"5th Street, stated that everyone that owns <br />forty acres should have the right to subdivide his land. He said he feels <br />that whether a Baan owns 5 acres or 200 acres, he'should be entitled to <br />divide it. <br />Spitzer said the `.lashington County Flood Plain ;-Tap indicates that -there <br />is a flood hazard on a couple hundred feet of the above mentioned property. <br />Schwab asked is there are any soils information available on the property. <br />Spitzer said no. Peltier said LaCasse ;ants to buy fifteen acres from his <br />father, and he only needs ten for an agricultural zoning, and asked what <br />he intended to do with the remai:n.ing five.
