<br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL PRESENT: Klein, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />COUNCIL ABSENT: Miron <br />OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, City Clerk <br />Michele Lindau <br /> <br />Minutes for the February 22, 2022, City Council Meeting <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on February 22, 2022, as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Minutes for the February 22, 2022, Executive Session <br /> <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council Executive <br />Session held on February 21, 2022, as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hugo Building Annual Report <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Emily Weber presented to Council the 2021 Annual <br />Building Report. In 2021, there was a total of 45 planning applications submitted, 189 single <br />family home permits issued, and 60 multi-family home permits issued. The median price for <br />new construction was just under $500,000. The Building Department conducted 6,310 <br />inspections in 2021 in Hugo and Scandia. They also are inspectors for Lake Elmo and Lino, but <br />there were no inspections last year. As of February, 2022, there were 197 single family lots <br />available and no multi-family lots. Emily reviewed projects approved and ongoing from last <br />year, which included six residential developments and six non-residential construction projects. <br /> <br />Washington County Update - Washington County Commissioner Fran Miron <br /> <br />Washington County Commissioner Fran Miron provided Council an update on activities in <br />Washington County. He thanked the City for their partnership in the environmental center site <br />in Hugo, and he talked about the new site planned for opening in 2023 saying they were in the <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />HUGO CITY HALL <br /> <br />MONDAY, MARCH 7, 2022 – 7 P.M.
