MINUTES <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Hall Council Chambers <br />Monday, January 8, 2024 <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Roll Call <br />COUNCIL PRESENT: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />COUNCIL ABSENT: None <br />OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Community <br />Development Director Rachel Juba, City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Approval of Minutes for the December 14, 2023, Meeting on Met Council Governance <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the meeting on the governance <br />of the Metropolitan Council held on December 14, 2023, as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Minutes for the December 18, 2024, City Council Meeting <br />Strub made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on December 18, 2024, as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as amended by adding approval of <br />the purchase of a brush unit for the Hugo Fire Department’s brush truck. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Northeast Youth & Family Services – President & CEO Angela Lewis-Dmello <br />Angela Lewis-Dmello was in attendance to provide the annual report on the Northeast Youth and <br />Family Services. Administrator Bryan Bear explained they were one of two organizations that <br />provide mental health services to Hugo residents, and Council allocates funding in the budget to <br />support these programs. <br />Angela explained she started working with the NYFS in June 2022. She said NYFS had been <br />around since 1976 when two school districts and ten municipalities came together. They have <br />continued to grow and expand services. They now work with 16 municipalities, five law
