Y5— MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 18, 1988 The meeting was called to order by acting Mayor, Deane Vail at 7:Of) PM. PRESENT: Olson, Peltier, Potts, Vail City Administrator, R:en Huber City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager ABSENT: Atkinson Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the minutes of July 5, 1988 as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for July 18, 1988 in the amount of $50,656.89. All aye. Motion Carried. Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for July 18, 1988 in the amount of $72.53. All aye. Motion Carried. SET COUNCIL MEETING DATE As per council direction a meeting has been scheduled for July 21, 1988 to secure community input at an improvement hearing of the city council for Phase 1 of the city's capital improvements program. Customarily, the City Council sets the Special Council meeting date prior to said meeting. Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to set a Special Meeting of Hugo City Council for July 21, 1988, at 7:00 PM, Hugo Elementary School, to secure community input at an improvement hearing of the City Council for Phase 1 of the city's Capital Improvement Program. All aye. Motion Carried. CABLE TELEVISION CONSULTANT As per Council direction, the city staff has been in communication with Mr. Tom Creighton in an effort to provide us with assistance in attracting cable television to the City of Hugo. The city received a letter from Mr. Creighton outlining the scope of his service and the estimated cost of same. City staff is requesting Council authorization to proceed and employ Mr. Creighton to assist the city in this process. Vail made motion, Olson seconded, to hire Mr. Tom Creighton to assist the city in its efforts to secure a cable television system for the City of Hugo. All aye. Motion Carried.
