am MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL July 6, 1987 The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor George Atkinson at 7:00 PM. PRESENT: Peltier, Potts, Olson, Vail, Atkinson Ken Huber, City Administrator Tom Fast, Howard Kuusisto's office Mary Ann Creager, City Clerk Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the minutes of June 15, 1987, as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. Peltier made motion, Potts seconded, to approve the General Claims for July 6, 1987, in the amount of $10,129.21. All aye. Motion Carried. Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for July 6, 1987, in the amount of $4,112.31. All aye. Motion Carried. 7.A American Legion Auxiliary Presentation Representatives from Hugo's American Legion Auxiliary were present at this meeting to present a check in the amount of $1,500.00, to the City of Hugo, to be used for the purchase of a hydro spreader by the Hugo Fire Deparment. This tool will enable the rescue squad to remove victims from vehicles involved in traffic accidents. The Mayor expressed the city's appreciation to the Auxiliary for their generous donation. 8.A Preliminary Subdivision Survey (Vern Peloquin) Mr. Vern Peloquin has made application to the City of Hugo for a minor subdivision and waiver of formal platting requirements for a .13 acre tract of land identified as part of the SET of Section 17, T31N, R21W, Washington County. The property in question is located east of Highway 61 immediately north of the Twin Pine Trailer Court. Apparently when other property was previously subdivided, a 15.3 foot tract of land was omitted from the land descriptions, and it is Mr. Peloquin's intent to consolidate this tract of land with property immediately north, owned by Mr. Robert C. Bernier. Mr. Peloquin states that the property in question is zoned SFE. If the property in question is combined with the site to the north, as proposed, we can see no objection to the proposal subject to special conditions. This request was reviewed at a public hearing of the Planning Commission meeting on June 24, 1987, and said Commission unanimously recommended approval subject to special conditions. Mr. Peloquin asked if he could received a letter from the city stating that the City Council has approved the subd of the .13 acre tract of land in question. The Council agreed provided that he submit a final survey with the irons clearly marked on the survey and the legal description of the .13 acres identified on the survey. Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the preliminary survey for Vern Peloquin and waiver of the formal platting procedure for the following described property: part of the SE4 Of Section 17, T31N, R21W, Washington County. This approval is subject to the following special conditions:
