49 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> June 6, 1983 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:02 PM. <br /> PRESENT: McAllister, Peltier, Atkinson, Schwab <br /> ABSENT: Vail <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Schwab made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the minutes of the Special <br /> Meeting of May 16, 1983, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> (NAIL ARRIVED AT 7:04 PM) . <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of the regular <br /> meeting of May 16, 1983 after the following corrections have been made: <br /> Page 47 (RESOLUTION 1983-7) - Item 4 should read as follows: <br /> All fire fighters who complete five (5) years of service during any one <br /> calendar year shall be paid a $50.00 stipend that year and each year there- <br /> after until he has reached ten (10) years of service, provided the Fire <br /> Chief certifies, in writing, to the clerk's office that the fireman has <br /> completed 75% of the drills and meetings required by the Hugo Fire Dept. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> It was the general concensus of the Council that the Fire Chief and the 1st and 2nd <br /> Assistant Chiefs shall qualify for Items 4 and 5 of RESOLUTION 1983-7, as along as <br /> they meet attendance requirements,as stated. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the General Claims for June 6, <br /> 1983, after the following addition is made: <br /> Hugo Lions Club ($621 .50) - one-half cost for security Good Neighbor Days <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for June 6, <br /> 1983, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Ken Lorch - Disc on Shay/Shackle Matter <br /> Mr. Lorch, chairman of the Planning Commission, was present to discuss the action <br /> taken by the commission at their meeting of May 25th regarding the request of Lee <br /> Stewart to divide one acre from seven for a building site.
