1Q TOBER 18, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL
<br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Don Lease at 7:10 P.M.
<br /> PRESENT: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES
<br /> Page 6 of the October 4, 1976 meeting should read Mrs. Hazel.
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by LaValle, to approve
<br /> the minutes of the October 4, 1976, meeting with
<br /> the above change.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF GENERAL CLAIMS
<br /> I+am 1 - Water ($661 .00) should be listed under utility.
<br /> Item 11- Should read PERA instead of Salary Deduction Report.
<br /> Item 12 - Should be omitted completely.
<br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seconded by LaValle, to approve
<br /> the general claims with the above changes.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> APPROVAL OF UTILITY CLAIMS
<br /> Add to utility claims - First State Bank Storm Sewer Loan
<br /> ($10,000.00 plus intcrest)
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve the
<br /> utility claims with the above change.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS.. COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES
<br /> 5.1 Jim Gits - Sofball League Presentation
<br /> The Northeast Suburban Softball Association donated $200.00
<br /> to help with the improvement of park ball fields in Hugo.
<br /> 5.2 Robert McCloud - Mobile Home Permit
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to approve the
<br /> Mobile Home Permit of Robert McCloud for a period of
<br /> 90 days granted under Chapter 40, Article III,
<br /> Subdivision D.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 5.3 James JohnsoA - Mobile Home Permit
<br /> Clerk instructed to send a letter to Mr. Johnson asking him to
<br /> attend the City Council meeting when his mobile home permit comes
<br /> up for renewal (January, 1977) .
<br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by LaValle, to approve
<br /> the Mobile Home Permit of James Johnson for a
<br /> period of 90 days granted under Chapter 40,
<br /> Article III, Subdivision D.
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
<br /> 6.1 Sewer Ordinance - 19T6-132
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by LaValle, to adopt Sewer
<br /> Ordinance 1976-132 after the word shall is changed to
<br /> read may on pages 15 & 16 (no. 1&2) .
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 8.0 NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 8.2 Lawrence Hazel - Variance Application
<br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve
<br /> the Variance Appliction of Lawrence Hazel on 125th
<br /> Street, to change set-back of garage from 40' to 20' .
<br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
