JANUARY 179 1977 MINIM],-, OF TM PROCEEDINGS OF TFL HUGO CITY COUNCIL 5 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor LaValle at 7:03 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Spitzery Schlettyl, and Irsfeld. Vail arrived at 8:43 P.M. <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motions seconded by Irsfeldq to approve the minutes <br /> of January 39 1977, as presented. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVallev Spitzer, Schlettyq and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the minutes <br /> of the special meeting of January 109 1977, as presented. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVallev Spitzer, Schlettyl, and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 SALARY REVIEW <br /> The increase in pay is reflective in the claims as presented. Budget was <br /> adopted in the Fall. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to approve the increases <br /> in pay as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzery Schlettyt and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitter- made motion,:seconded by LaValle, to amend the approval of <br /> the salary figures to include a total of $500.00 insurance for the <br /> Police Chiefs Robert Barth, <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVallev Spitzerp Schlettyq and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motions seconded by Schletty, to approve the claims of <br /> January 17, 1977, as presented. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValleq Spitzert Schletty, and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the utility <br /> claims of January 179 1977, as presented. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVallet Spitzer, Schletty, and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> 5.1 James Johnson — Mobile Home Renewal <br /> Mr. Johnson was present at the meeting, and stated that he was still un— <br /> able to work. Thomas Von Wald is presently living in the mobile home and <br /> is taking care of Mr. Jbhnson's animals and barn. Mr. Johnson did not <br /> have a statement from a doctor stating his inability to work, but will <br /> have one prior to the Februarys 7, 1977 meeting. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motions seconded by Spitzer, to table the Mobile Home <br /> Renewal until the meeting of February 79 1977, at which time a Doctor's <br /> statement will be presented. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaVallev Schlettyq and Irsfeld. <br /> VOTING NO: Spitzer. MOTION CARRIED <br /> City Clerk stated thaw as yet, we have not received a letter of credit or <br /> or bond from Dennis Burdick. Clerk instructed to write Mr. Burdick a Letter <br /> stating he has 30 days in which to get a letter of credit into City Hall, <br /> Mr, Burdick's Special Use Permit will be pulled if he does not comply. <br /> City Clerk stated that Little Lamb's Preschool has not paid their REC charge, <br /> and that they had asked for a three to four month extension. Mayor LaValle <br /> thinks they should pay now, and that the City should operate business on a <br /> cash basis. Little Lamb's owes another 7•% more on the charge for 1977. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motions seconded by Schletty, to have City Clerk write <br /> a letter to Little Lamb's Preschool explaining the City's position <br /> for REC payment in 1977. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValleg Spitzerg Schletty, and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mayor LaValle hopes to have the appointment, for the committee to the Metro <br /> Counci dong by the next meeting. <br /> MOTION ' Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the appointments to <br /> the Metro Council committee be laid over until the meeting of February <br /> 79, 1977, and that the item be shown on the agenda. <br />
