The Council also approved a <br />motion to authorize the City Administrator to enter into a material testing contract in the not-to-exceed <br />amount of $10,000. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council authorize the City Administrator to enter into a <br />material testing contract with AET in the estimated amount of $12,800? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: AET provided a proposal to complete the materials testing services <br />for the project for the estimated amount ranging from $10,400 to $12,800. Since these amounts exceed the <br />previously stated not-to-exceed amount of $10,000, staff is requesting council reconsider the authorization <br />amount to cover the amounts proposed by AET. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: If approved, the project will remain within the Post-Bid Total Estimated Project Cost <br />of $1,454,000 as reported at the April 1, 2025 council meeting, including $1,018,518 for the At-Grade <br />Roadway Crossing and $435,482 for the Trunk Watermain Crossing. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending that the City Council authorize, as part of the consent <br />agenda, the City Administrator to enter into a material testing contract with AET in the estimated amount <br />of $12,800.” If removed from the consent agenda, the recommended motion for this action is as follows: <br /> <br />“Move to authorize the City Administrator to enter into a material testing contract with AET in the <br />estimated amount of $12,800.” <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br /> <br />1.
