MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 9, 2004 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of <br />December, 2004 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. ScottBarraclough <br />Mr. Tom Dw'ay <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />M. r. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />Ms. I{athy Weihc <br />ALSO I'RLSLNT: <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk <br />MINUTES The November 16, 2004 Planning Commission minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />SIGNAGE There was no one presenC to represent A & W relative their request for <br />VARIANCE - a Variance to exceed the number of wall signs allowed as well as for <br />3006 RICE Architectural Review of the proposed signage and building modifications <br />STREET - for the A & W building at 3006 Rice Street. <br />A&W <br />Knudsen pointed out that this matter was tabled at the last meeting in <br />order to give the applicant time to meet with the City Planner and develop <br />a more acceptable signage plan. <br />The City Planner reported that he has received no new submittals from the <br />applicant. The Planner pointed out that in addition to the request for Sign <br />Variance, the applicant is requesting Architectural Review for some <br />exterior remodeling of the building. The drawings provided to not provide <br />much detail The Planner reconunended that any action on the <br />Architectural Review be subject to compliance with the Architectural <br />Guidelines relative to building materials, new lighting, etc. <br />Knudsen recouunended approval of the Architectural Review for <br />modifications to the exterior of the A & W building at 3006 Rice Street <br />
