MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 9, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of <br />November, 2017 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Bill Buesing called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Bill Buesing <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />Mr. Chris Kwapick <br />Mr. Nick Sandell <br />Ms. Taelor Johnson <br />Mr. Eric Thorson <br />Ms. Dawn Kulousek <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Associate Planner <br />Ms. Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable TV <br />MINUTES The September 14, 2017 Planning Commission meeting minutes were <br />approved as submitted. <br />CONDITIONAL <br />The Associate Planner reported that Todd and Amy College, property <br />USE PERMIT FOR <br />owners of 886 Woodland Drive, are requesting approval of a conditional <br />AN OVERSIZE <br />use permit to allow an attached 1,157 square foot garage. She explained <br />GARAGE AT 886 <br />that they. are proposing to expand their existing three car attached 772 <br />WOODLAND <br />square foot garage. She stated that they would like to add an additional 385 <br />DRIVE; <br />square feet to the rear of the existing garage. She explained that the zoning <br />APPLICANT: PHI <br />code allows garages in excess of 1,000 square feet by conditional use <br />REMODELING & <br />permit. The Associate Planner stated that the proposed garage would meet <br />OWNERS: TODD <br />the required setbacks, and does not encroach into the rear yard. She noted <br />& AMY COLLEGE that when a conditional use permit is issued for a garage exceeding 1,000 <br />square feet, the parcel is no longer eligible for a garden shed, and the <br />applicants have been made aware of this. The property does not currently <br />have a shed. <br />
