MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 4, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 4°i day of May, 2000 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada'Road East in said City. <br />Chair Matt Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Matthew Anderson, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Ms. Carla Danielson <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser <br />Mr. Robert Schabacher <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jitn Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES Sackett Glaser recommended that the minutes of the April 6, 2000 meeting be approved as <br />submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Schabacher. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />The Director stated that he would like to correct two comments he had made at the April <br />meeting. He mistakenly referred to North Star Trailer Park, but meant Five Star Trailer Park. <br />Also, when he stated that the City Council wanted the Commission to further discuss <br />televising meetings, it was the Cable TV Committee that had asked about it. <br />PLANNING Anderson commented that the City Council has changed their May and June meetings from <br />ISSUES the 2"d and 4°i Wednesdays to the 2id and 4°i Tuesdays. He asked for ideas on improving <br />communication with the Council. He indicated that he was not interested in having <br />Commission members attend Council meetings since he thought there were other avenues of <br />communication available. <br />Sackett Glaser stated that she would rather have an occasional small group discussion with <br />the Council, but she was unsure of their ability to commit time. The Director felt that now is <br />not a good time for meetings with the Council due to the busy summer season. He stated that <br />a workshop session would be the best way to accomplish communication with the Council. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
