MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEF,TING PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNF,SOTA JUNE 1, 2000 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 1'~ day of June, 2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. Chair Matt Anderson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following members of the Commission were present: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Matthew Anderson, Chair Mr. James Broten Ms. Carla Danielson Mr. David Gray Mr. Craig Larson Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser Mr. Robert Schabacher ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Recording Secretary MINUTES Gray recommended that the rnirtutes of the May 4, 2000 meeting be approved as submitted. Motion seconded by Sackett Glaser. Motion carried 7 - 0. ROUND LK. Sanders presented the proposed plan for the ponding area that was drawn up by the city PARK engineer. Comments from Sackett Glaser were made in regards to extending the path further down towards the pond. Sanders agreed with that idea and commented that the concept of having access to the pond from the nearby apartment complex and extending the path further east of Market Place Drive were also being looked at. Anderson stated this concept and possible other concepts will be discussed at the July meeting. PIONEER Sanders passed out a handout (see attached) in regards to the proposed ordinance change PARK for required parking spaces in Public Parks, Playgrounds, and Playfield. Currently the City of Little Canada would meet the revised ordinance change. The Director pointed out that this ordinance change would be drafted to be consistent with other city ordinances.
