MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JULY 6, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Caarada, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of July, 2000 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Matt Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Matthew Anderson, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Ms. Carla Danielson <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Recording Secretary <br />.MINUTES Schabacker moved that the minutes of the June 1, 2000 meeting be approved with the <br />following changes. Page three the zzmne Rondean Fa»:ily should be changed to Rozzdeau <br />Family. Page 2 under concerts in the park it should reflect that the NSYF is not looking to <br />purchase a plaque tTzey are looking to donate some actual equipment for the park and <br />there could be an item of Bonze type in recognition: of their donation. Also, the header at <br />the top of each page needs to reflect the correct date. <br />Motion seeozzded by Danielson. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />ROUND LK. Sanders presented a proposed park plan for the area south of Little Canada Road near Round <br />PARK Lake. <br />Comments and suggestions were taken from the commission in regards to the changes in the <br />proposed plan. The commission liked the changes from the original plan. Sackett Glaser <br />added she would also like to see a fountain somehow added to the pond that could be seen <br />from the overlook area. The overlook area would consists of some benches that would invite <br />residents using the path to stop and enjoy the park instead of just passing through. <br />The commission was in agreement over these suggestions and will take the proposed plan to <br />the Council at the workshop to get their feedback. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
