MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECRF,ATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parlcs & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 7°i day of September, <br />2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in <br />said City. <br />Chair Matt Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Matthew Anderson, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Ms. Carla Danielson (arrived at 7:35 p.m.) <br />NIr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser <br />Mr. Robert Schabacher <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES Gray recoznnzended that the zainutes of the August 3, 2000 meeting Ge approved as <br />suGnzitted. <br />Motion seconded by Schabacher. <br />Motion cazried 6 - 0. <br />BUDGET Anderson asked when the Council will need the Commission's recommendation on items for <br />funding from the 10% Fund (Fund 408). The City Administrator stated that he will be <br />finalizing the 10% Fund budget bymid-October. <br />The City Administrator encouraged Commission members to identify and prioritize projects <br />for the General Capital Improvement Budget (Fund 400) so if money becomes available, the <br />City could fund the items. <br />Sackett Glaser asked if the McNamara Park grading funds will rollover into 2001 since the <br />work was not done this year. The City Administrator stated that typically funds will rollover <br />into the next year if projects are not completed. <br />Sackett Glaser asked if obtaining easements for trail connections should be separately <br />budgeted. She stated that the Council wanted the Commission to get aggressive in <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
