MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
JULY 13, 2000
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13`x' day of July,
2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little
Canada Road in said City.
Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following
members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call:
PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Scott Barraclough
Mr. Dennis Carson
Mr. Tom Duray
Mr. John Keis
Ms. Faith Kraemer
Mr. Rick Montour (left at 8:15 p.m.)
ABSENT: Mr. Dan Knudsen
ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Cindy Sherman, City Planner
Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk
MINUTES There being no corrections to the June 8, 2000 Planning Commission
minutes, those minutes stand approved as submitted.
VARIANCE - Mr. Tom Leonzal, College City Homes, appeared before the Commission
666 LaBORE RD. - requesting a variance from the requirement for direct access to a public
O'NEIL street allowing access for a lot located on Keller Parkway via a driveway
easement to LaBore Road. The property in question is owned by
Theodore and Patricia O'Neil and is located at 666 LaBore Road. Leonzal
reported that the City previously approved a property division for the lot in
question. Access was proposed via Keller Parkway. However, due to the
topography of the property, the driveway for the proposed house would be
at a 24.6% grade. Therefore, the property owners are now requesting a
variance so that access can be via LaBore Road.
Keis pointed out that at the time the property division was requested, the
builder had indicated that it was possible to access the lot via Keller
Parkway. That was one of the conditions upon which the property
division was approved.
