MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 10, 2019 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10t" day of <br />October, 2019 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Vice -Chair Nick Schwalbach called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and <br />the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll <br />call: <br />PLANNING <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />COMMISSION: <br />Mr. Chris Kwapick <br />Ms. Taelor Johnson <br />Ms. Nicole Westadt <br />Mr. Eric Thorson <br />ABSENT: <br />Ms. Dawn Kulousek <br />Mr. Bill Buesing <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Chris Heineman, City Administrator <br />Ms. Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The September 12, 2019 Planning Commission Workshop and September <br />12, 2019 regular meeting minutes were approved as submitted. <br />PLANNED UNIT <br />The City Administrator stated that Pallet Services Corporation (PSC) is <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />seeking an amendment to their existing Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />AMENDMENT AT <br />to accommodate an increase in the maximum height of storage for stacks of <br />3213 COUNTRY <br />lumber at their site at 3213 Country Drive. He explained that the current <br />DRIVE; <br />PUD allows for a maximum storage height of 14 feet, and the applicant is <br />APPLICANT: <br />requesting an amendment to a maximum storage height of 17 feet. He <br />PALLET SERVICE <br />stated that in 2014 the applicant requested to increase the height to 17 feet, <br />CORP. <br />but the request was recommended for denial due to fire code concerns so <br />the applicant withdrew the request. He stated that the storage yard has now <br />been paved and there are marked fire lanes which addresses most of the fire <br />code concerns. <br />Bob Wenner, President of Pallet Service Corporation, stated that they are <br />not asking for more square footage of outdoor storage, just an increase in the <br />height. He explained that the extra three feet is for better efficiency of <br />
