MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLF, CANAllA, MINNESOTA <br />June 4, 2009 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of June, 2009, in the council <br />chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and the following members of The <br />commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESF,NT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br />Ms. Ruth Steinwall <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br />Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES: I,olmaugh's name in roll call should he Ms. and Steinwall's name in adjournment motion was <br />misspelled. Maida made a motion to accept the minutes from the May meeting with these <br />corrections, seconded by Steinert. Motion carried. <br />NEW <br />BUSINESS: 12EPLAT OF PROPERTY FOI2 CULVEI2'S 12ESTAURANT <br />Morelan reported that Culvers is planning to build on the Rice Street property between <br />US Bank and Marketplace Mall. 'Phis is commercial property and the park dedication fee would <br />be based on the value of the property. <br />Slain made a motion, seconded by Steinwall, to recommend that the city accept the cash option <br />for the park dedication fee for the Culver's property. Motion carried. <br />ICE CREAM SOCIAL <br />Chair Fahey stated this year's event is scheduled for July 30°'. She briefly explained that we have <br />had the Ramsey County Canine Unit, the Roseville Puppet Show and the Little Canada Fire <br />Department on the program in previous years. Morelan recommended that this event be held <br />again this year. Steinert has taken care of contacting and scheduling these groups in the past and <br />volunteered to assist again this year. <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
