MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANAllA, MINNESOTA <br />July 16, 2009 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of July, <br />2009, in the council chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in <br />said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br />the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br />Ms. Ruth Steinwall <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Dan Slain <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br />Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES: Steinwall made a motion to accept the minutes from the June meeting, seconded by Steinert. <br />Motion carried. <br />OLD <br />BUSINESS: ICE CREAM SOCIAL <br />Chair Fahey stated this year's event is scheduled for .Tuly 30`x' at the lower shelter of Spooner <br />Park fiom 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Kevin Steinert reported that all participants have been <br />contacted and are confirmed to be attending. The program participants are the Ramsey <br />County Canine Unit, the Roseville Puppet Show and the Little Canada Fire Department. <br />Fahey commented that the Park & Recreation Commissioners usually attend this event and <br />assist with making root beer floats. Morelan stated the Little Canada A&W will again donate <br />the root beer for the floats. <br />Morelan stated he contacted the clowns and there will be at least two attending. He <br />suggested that we purchase candy for the clowns to distribute to the children. Fahey <br />volunteered to pickup the candy. Morelan has flyers available for commissioners to take and <br />distribute to local businesses. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
