MINUTES <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 3, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held <br />on the 3rd day of' October, 2013, in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Vice Chair Jeff Heikke called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Mr. Jeff Heikke <br />Ms. Linda Fahey <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Kong Vang <br />ABSENT: Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec Dir. <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV Prod. <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the September 5, <br />2013 meeting with the correction noted by Fahey that Slain was <br />incorrectly listed in the resolution adjourning the meeting. <br />DAN SLAIN The Parks & Recreation Director reported that Dan Slain has resigned <br />RESIGNATION from the Commission since he has taken a new job and is moving to <br />Florida. The Commission and Director thanked Slain for his hard work <br />and service on the Commission and to the City. The Director noted that <br />the Council will be filling Slain's vacancy along with other vacancies for <br />terms expiring at the end of 2013. <br />BALLFIELD The Director reported that Dan Slain was on the Ballfield Usage Policy <br />USAGE Committee along with Kong Vang, the two Park & Rec Program <br />POLICY Assistants, and himself. The Director asked for a volunteer to fill Slain's <br />spot on the committee. He anticipated 2 to 3 meetings to finalize a draft <br />policy for presentation to the Council. Fahey agreed to serve. <br />
