MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />January 6, 2005 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of January, 2005 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Ginger Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members <br />of the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Ms. Molly Boss <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Tony Mans <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />~LCOME On behalf of the entire Commission, Sackett Glaser welcomed Tony Mans as a member of the <br />Parks & Recreation Commission. <br />ELECTION OF By a unanimous vote of the Commission, Ginger Sackett Glaser was elected as chair and James <br />OFFICERS Broten was elected as vice-chair. <br />MINUTES Broten stated that the 3"' & 4th sentences of the second paragraph of page I of the Trails Update <br />should be replaced with, "Once the link is finished, our residents will have access to <br />Maplewood's park system." <br />Gray recommended that the minutes of the meetiiag held on December 2, 2004 be approved as <br />corrected. <br />Motion seconded by Steinert. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />WATERSHED Cliff Aichinger, the administrator for the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District, <br />PROPOSAL presented a proposed site plan and building design for the future construction of an office to <br />house their organization. They are planning on buying the city-owned property on Noel Drive <br />for this project. He stated that they are very excited about the new plans and the building will <br />be very nice, featuring a neat appearance with native plantings. The structure will have a <br />residential feel and will be low profile with a stone, cedar, and glass facade. A detached garage <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />
