- Page 1 - <br />December 17, 1975 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board <br />was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on December 17, 1975 by Chairman <br />Karth. Members present; Gourley, Hill, Houle, Kelling, Nadeau, <br />Shearen. Absent; None. Mr. Locher was also present. Mr. Marier, <br />Council Liaison, was absent. <br />Mr. Kelling corrected the minutes of the November 19, 1975 meeting <br />as follows; <br />...Page 2, last paragraph, the motion was seconded by Mr. Nadeau, <br />not 'Mr. Shearen' w4th Mr. Gourley and Mr. Shearen voting, No. <br />Mr. Kellinge moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by <br />Mr. Hill. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Chairman Karth opened the hearing for re -zoning as petitioned by <br />Northern Instrumentsat 8:05 P.M. This petition asks for rezoning <br />from 'Commercial' to Light Industrial' the following,described <br />property; <br />That part of Government Lot 2 and Government Lot 4, Section 30, <br />Township 31, Range 22, Anoka County, Minnesota described as <br />follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of paid Government <br />Lot 2, thence North 90° East along the North line of Lot 2 a <br />distance of 817.09 feet, thence South 44° 17' East a distance <br />of 677.23 feet to the point of heginning of property herein to <br />be described; thence North 44° 17' West a distance of 677.23 <br />feet, thence North 90° East a distance of 505.11 feet to the <br />Northeast corner of said Lot 2, thence North 47° East to the <br />shore of Rice Lake, thence Southeasterly along the shore of <br />Rice Lake to a point North 45° 43' East of the point of be- <br />ginning, thence South 450 43' West to the point of beginning. <br />Subject to State Highway Nu:.:ber 49 and containing 4.3 acres <br />more or less. <br />Mr. Locher presented the Board with affidavits of publication and <br />mailings noting that these requirements have been complied with. <br />Chairman Karth asked if there were any opponents to this re -zoning <br />and there were none. Chairman Karth asked if there were any <br />proponents and there were only the representatives of Northern <br />Instruments, who declined comment at this time. <br />Mr. Gourley asked if this land has been purchased as of this date. <br />Mr. Randall said the finalization of the purchase will be done as <br />soon as the company has Council approval of the re -zoning. <br />Mr. Gourley asked if this re -zoning could be acted upon without the <br />present owners present? <br />Chairman Karth said the property owners had been notified by mail <br />of this hearing and if there were objections to the re -zoning, they <br />should be present to voice their disapproval. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Gourley moved to recommend to the City <br />Council approval of the re -zoning request for Northern Instruments. <br />
