PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> July 3, 1989 <br /> Also utility workers are driving their cars through the <br /> park. Staff was directed to send out a memo to stop this . <br /> The current balance of the dedicated park fund is $197 , 000 . 00 <br /> with funds yet to be collected from three future <br /> subdivisions. <br /> After considerable discussion a motion was made. <br /> MOTION: <br /> John Bauman moved to recommend to City Council an additional <br /> hockey rink to be installed in Sunrise Park with adequate <br /> lighting and a pleasure rink installed next to the hockey <br /> rink . The estimated cost for this is $35 , 000. 00 . George <br /> Lindy seconded the motion, and the motion was approved <br /> unanimously. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Fay Johnson moved to recommend to City Council approval to <br /> purchase two sets of aluminum bleachers . The estimated cost <br /> for this is $7, 000. 00. John Bauman seconded the motion, and <br /> the motion was approved unanimously. <br /> Old Business <br /> Ray Johnson asked Mr. Uhde about the trail system in Reshanau <br /> Lake Estates South. Gary Uhde stated that the trail system <br /> is going out for bids this week. He needed to clarify with <br /> city staff the alignment of the trails. There are four <br /> trails planned for this development . Park Board will review <br /> the trails before construction is started. The park board <br /> felt that more grading should be completed to raise the <br /> height of the trails. Gary Uhde suggested keeping it low, <br /> but installing culverts below the trails. He proposes to <br /> have the trails completed by the end of July. <br /> Rice Lake Estates Park Update/Tim Keenan <br /> Tim Keenan asked the park board to move the dedicated park <br /> land from Lots 1 and 2 of Block 2 to Lot 8, Block 2, closer <br /> to Blue Heron Drive. This would put the park location south <br /> of the present site, on the corner of Blue Heron Drive and <br /> Sandpiper Drive. <br /> Ray Johnson stated that the park board' s concern was that the <br /> developer is already advertising that tennis courts are on <br /> the site. He stated that residents moving in are wanting to <br /> see those tennis courts, and Ray asked that he withdraw <br /> that from his advertising. <br /> s1 ' <br /> Tim Keenan stated that most lots in this plat are contract <br />
