PARK BOARD PAGE 1 November 3, 1986 <br /> n <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order by Chairman Ray Johnson at 7 : 00 P.M. , Monday, <br /> November 3, 1986 . Board members present: Ken Johnson, <br /> John Baumann, and Bill Nissen. George Lindy joined the <br /> meeting at 7 : 20 P.M. Board members absent: Jim Flannery, <br /> Kim James. Also present were Don Volk, Public Works <br /> Director, Cindy Houle, Secretary, Mrs . Paul (Ruth) Howard, <br /> and Jim Arntzen. Randy Schumacher joined the meeting at <br /> 7 : 38 P.M. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - OCTOBER 6, 1986 <br /> A motion was made to approve the minutes of the October 6, <br /> 1986 , Park Board meeting as presented. The motion was <br /> seconded and carried unanimously. <br /> BALDWIN LAKE COURT PARK DEDICATION <br /> Ray Johnson explained that this matter was originally brought ) <br /> before the City Council in 1979 and it was decided at that �O^ <br /> time to accept cash and the construction of a tot lot; ther <br /> fore, the assessment will be $1, 100 . 00 per acre equalling c <br /> $440 . 00 . Ruth Howard was asked to give a completion date <br /> for the tot lot and approved the date of July 1, 1987 . `5� <br /> Don Volk asked the location of the tot lot, and Ruth Howard . <br /> responded that it will be next to the Johnson house, toward <br /> 49 . <br /> ED VAUGHN MINOR SUBDIVISION PARK DEDICATION <br /> Ray Johnson reported that the City Council has approved this <br /> minor subdivision and accepted $160 . 00 for Park Dedication. <br /> LAWCON GRANT <br /> Don Volk reported on the status of the LawCon Grant Park <br /> which is near completion. The bath house and concrete ramp will <br /> not be put in. A thorough clean up will be done in the <br /> Spring and picnic tables will be needed (neither are part of <br /> the funding. ) Approximately $12, 000 to $13, 000 maximum of <br /> park monies will be needed. The question was asked where <br /> park funding stands now. The last report of $93, 000 to <br /> $97, 000 should be accurate. The State must approve in- <br /> spection of the park by December 31, 1986 . Some handicapped <br /> adaptions or signage may be needed. . <br /> ICE ARENA PROPOSAL UPDATE <br /> The City Council has accepted the Park Board' s recommendation <br /> for location of the arena at the southwest corner of Sunrise <br /> Park.
